| Other comments or advice | Fast, convenient and big centre with chairs to wait. It's much better than lining up outside the Russian Embassy in the cold rain. I'm glad those days are long gone... |

| Type of visa applied for | Tourist visa |
| Cost of visa processing | £25 admin cost plus £75 for visa (I think) |
| Processing time | overnight or one week |
| Visa application requirements |
Application form, coloured photograph and tourist invitation form If sending by post also need self addressed special delivery envelope and postal order for the amount owned. Can only pay by cash at the VFS centre, they don't want cheques |
| Other comments or advice | Visa's aren't done by the Russian Embassy now. VFS do it instead. I've had 4 Russian visa, first two with the Embassy (same day processing for handing it in and 5day turn around for postal and no extra admin cost, so cheaper and faster), last two with VFS, one at the centre and one postal. Postal applications need to send postal order for the cost of the visa (plus admin cost) and also need self addressed special delivery envelope. so in total I think it cost me around £120 for postal visa |

| Type of visa applied for | Tourist visa |
| Other comments or advice | I was pleased that they called for more information rather than just bouncing the rquest as incomplete. The whole thing was finished up in a very timely fashion. |

| Type of visa applied for | Tourist visa |
| Cost of visa processing | £50 for the visa, plus a £25 'service charge' |
| Processing time | One week |
| Visa application requirements |
- Visa application form, had to print from website of VFS global - Passport photo - Tourist invitation (printout of pdf file was fine) - Bank statements (I think this is only for the self-employed, most applicants won't need this) |
| Other comments or advice | Visa processing is now done by a private company, instead of going to the consulate as it used to be. This means the process is more efficient - just! - but also more expensive. At least there's no more queuing outside the consulate from 6am!! |
